Dr. Alysia Williams
Dr. Alysia Williams started her rehabilitation career at the Shands @ UF Hospital Outpatient Medical Center, in Gainesville, FL. To date, she has worked in a variety of settings including in-patient neuro-rehabilitation, acute care, post-surgical care, pediatric and outpatient facilities. She is currently specializing in cervical and lumbar pathology treatment, with a special interest in sports injuries.
Dr. Williams is an advocate for health and wellness for all of her patients. She emphasizes the importance of physical activity, in order to achieve optimal levels of health and wellbeing. As a former dancer, swimmer, cheerleader and gymnast, Dr. Williams has a vast array of knowledge that only enhances her expertise as a Physical Therapist.
As a clinician, Dr. Williams takes special care to manage and maintain progress, while promoting independence with these measures. She finds joy in helping her patients attain their prior level of function and beyond.
Dr. Williams earned her Physical Theraphy Doctorate from Florida International University. She attended University of Florida for her Bachelor of Health Science in Rehabilitative Sciences.
